Event Details

In July, we all got together to discuss content management systems at the fourth roundtable discussion with groups of web managers from UW Medicine, Seattle Children's, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, the Institute for Systems Biology, PATH, and the University of Washington at UW Medicine South Lake Union campus.  It was one of the best sessions to date, and we all agreed to reconvene in October.

This time around, in addition to the usual conviviality and sharing of challenges, we plan to discuss the ups and downs of managing web communications on behalf of your organization.

We hope you can join us on Thursday, October 8 from 5:30 - 7:00 pm at Forum One Communications' office in South Lake Union.  Our offices are in the Amli building at 535 Pontius Avenue North.  When you arrive at the main doors to the building on Pontius Avenue, someone will be waiting there to let you into the building and escort you to our lounge.

The event is jointly sponsored by FHCRC, PATH, and Forum One Communications. Among the organizations we're inviting: UW Dept. of Global Health, SCCA, SBRI, Allen Institute for Brain Science, ISB, Seattle Children's, Gates Foundation Global Health, Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation, Grameen Technology Center, and more.

Agenda:
5:30 - 5:45 - meet and greet, food and drink
5:45 - 7:00 - informal presentations/case studies (2 to 3)
7:00 and beyond - networking, more food and drink

What to bring:
Your good ideas, and a stack of business cards.  We are looking for volunteers to present case studies or raise particular questions (a/v and an internet connection will be available).  Let us know if you're interested in showing us what you're thinking about!

Who should come:
This is an invitation-only event--this note is your invitation.  If you have colleagues that work with the web in global health or the life sciences please let us know and we'll invite them as appropriate.
